MEGABASH CANCELLATION
If you were disappointed by the cancellation of Craflwyn's Megabash, why not book on the Devil's Dyke Megabash?

Dear all,
It is with great regret that I have taken the decision to cancel next year’s Megabash.
I know that many people will be very disappointed to hear this news. Clive and Jenni in particular have put a huge amount of effort into the planning of the event already.
Since the decision was taken to repeat the successful Megabash of 2004, changes to the staffing at Craflwyn mean that we no longer have the capacity to deliver such a major event. These changes were made necessary following the freezing of a Property Manager post and the resultant increase in the day-to-day workload at this property.
Craflwyn staff are now responsible for delivering visitor services and volunteering targets throughout the new property - not just at Beddgelert. Furthermore, we only have 20 months left until the Objective 1 grant runs out at Craflwyn. During this time we have to establish Craflwyn as a self-financing centre of excellence for volunteering. I decided that running the Megabash would have diverted our team away from their top priority of making Craflwyn a long-term success - and would have meant that fewer visitor improvements could be made at the properties for next season.
I hope that you will understand why I have had to make this difficult decision.
